Kilt Hose

I made this for my nearest and dearest, who enjoys celebrating his Scottish heritage.

    About

I've never made a pair of socks before! (It was fun learning how to turn a heel.) This pattern specifies substantial yarn (worsted / Aran) and tiny needles (3.25 mm). The result is a dense knit, perfect for these substantial 'knee socks.'

    Measurements

Notes: This pattern only includes one size for a pair of men's kilt hose. I modified it to make it longer and thinner, because the man I was making it for needed those modifications. He preferred a simple ribbed cuff, instead of the 'popcorn' stitch the pattern specified. I also doubled the number of cable twists at his request.
