    About

My Christmas present to myself was the Persian Dreams pattern by Jenise Reid and the yarn kit in Cascade 220 Sport from LoveKnitting to complete it! It is my 'Me Time' indulgence this January and I have absolutely loved it so far! The four hexagons of Chart 1 are done (I pinned them out for photos - some serious blocking lies in my future!) and the first hexagon of Chart 2 is nearly complete. I haven't knitted stranded colour work for a long time and am really enjoying this project. I had to give careful thought to my plan of attack as I know when the holidays are done my progress will slow some - whether to knit one of each chart or to knit the number of hexagons required of a chart before starting a new design? I decided on the latter - to keep the anticipation of the next pattern and motivation high! This January 'MeTime' project is a great treat and will be a daily reward to look forward to in the evenings once I'm back at work!

      Hi Anita
I think the possibilities for this design are endless - I admire your creativity in choosing your own colours - you've achieved a wonderful result! Have really admired other colour combinations I've seen on Ravelry- even the two colour blue and white or red and white - versions are fantastic! My challenge is to keep up a steady pace now I'm returning to work - have completed 6 hexagons now - a quarter of the way there!!

Hi Susan - it's fun isn't it? I've kept my colours completely random with no two hexagons the same but I do actually like the slightly more formal look of this.
