I made this for Me

    About

Beautiful pattern, well written but intended for someone with much more of an hourglass shape than me so left some of the waist shaping out.
Had to make changes to stitches and rows to allow for using different wool - I like felted tweed but it would have worked out extremely expensive to use it for this.

Just found out what steeking is, I don't think I would be game to do it.

This was my first time steeking and I was worried beforehand. I’d choose it now though over traditional methods. It makes knitting fairisle so much easier as there are no purl rows and the actual steeking is easier than you would think.
I did it again on the little Norwegian alphabet blanket and it worked well again.

Stunning. I have steered clear of fair isle because steeking scares me. But I have recently watched a few videos and I am ready to give it a try.

This was my first steek and I was very nervous but it worked out fine and I learnt a lot from doing it. I did one on my Norwegian blanket as well s it gives nice finish to blanket edge.

Your sweater/jacket is absolutely stunning, I love it. I'm making a sweater also fair isle, it's a challenge but I love doing it. Can you share your pattern, or is it personal? Thank you, Sharon

Absolutely beautiful! You inspire me to get back to the Fair Isle sweater I put down more than a couple of years ago.

I don't remember exactly but it was several months, maybe as many as 6. It was interesting to do though, so I never got bored with it. Also, it's knit in the round from the bottom up so easy to get the fit right as you go along.
