Katie wanted a sofa or single bed sized cosy blanket, so traditional granny squares in contrasting colours seemed a perfect choice. Each granny square was 4 rounds in a different colour, with a final dc row - hopefully no two squares are the same! I then used the JAYG method to join in graphite, with a layout of 8 x 12 squares. The border is 4 granny stripe rows of graphite, in the first row I stitched 2trtog between squares to ensure a flat join. The 5th row is a dc row in gold, finished with a pompom border in graphite.
