Product Details
Pattern features: Top down design, cowl neck, semi-crescent shape, beaded tree motif, lace border, optional beaded eyelets with afterthought embroidery technique.
The Douglas Pine Shawlette was inspired by the beauty of these evergreen trees. The forest tree bead motif is the focal point of the shawlette and the border mimics pine cones with small textured squares. The lattice edging within the border emulates pine needles as they lay, overlapping under a Douglas Pine tree.
The shawlette is knit from the top down in a semi-crescent shape. The body of the shawlette is knit in stockinette stitch with a beaded tree motif along the bottom center of the shawlette. The cast off is worked with a sideways knit lace edging. An optional additional beaded detail is offered along the eyelets with an “afterthought” embroidery technique.
Written and charted instructions are included.
Tonal colorways are recommended to compliment the pattern. One 100g skein of fingering weight yarn is required.
