    About

    My sister needed a special stocking of her own for Christmas so I knit her one to fit her love of cars and trucks! Knitting, particularly colorwork, since it uses both hands and requires following a chart, gives my brain such a good workout! I stay home with my young children so I really enjoy the brain work involved in this kind of work. It's wonderfully fun and keeps me calm, mentally sharp, and always learning!

    Other : This pattern impressed me so much I just had to make it! The color work is so beautiful and I sewed in a lining so nothing would catch on the yarn inside the stocking. It gives the project a beautifully finished look and makes it last longer.

      When I read your remark about what a good brain workout knitting is, my first thought was, "HA! Knitting makes us smart!" I love the planning and figuring that goes with creating.

      I'm curious, do your children have any interest in learning to knit? My son does not, so my hobby is still all mine. :-)

        My eldest says he does, but I think it'll be a few years before he has the patience to sit and learn how to do it!
