Hi I am knitting this at the moment. I’ve only the sleeves to do. I’ve sewn the body together but I’m not sure how far the collar has to be folded back inside. Please let me know if you can remember . Regards Paula

Hi Paula, it took me a while to think how to finish sewing up on this cardigan. Keeping the front edge on the four stitch cable by the time you get to the back of the neck the garter stitch ties up with the edge of the last four stitch cable that goes across the back of the neck. That means that you have one cable above the back seam. It does sit very well across the back of the neck when you put it on. Hope you can understand what I am trying to explain to you. Can’t work out how to send a photo of the seam🤷🏼‍♀️
Good luck, Carry on Knitting 🧶 and stay safe. Lyn W

@Lyn W: thank you for your reply which does make sense . I’m still struggling as I have knitted the middle size. I have 5 of the larger pattern repeats across the back but each front as 4 on each . Consequently the collar extension is very wide as after the shoulder cast off there is 3 larger pattern repeats each side forming the collar , it seems too big with the garter stitch as well . Any ideas ?? Regards Paula

@Paula Hall: Hi again Paula, when I look at the collar on mine, there are three pattern repeats plus the garter stitch. The first pattern is folded with the last four stitch cable on the outside and the rest of the pattern and garter stitch on the inside down to the four stitch cable on the edge of the collar.
When you look at the outside of the collar at the back of the neck where it joins in the centre there are two patterns showing from the shoulder to centre join of the neck. The back of the collar is quite high on the back of the neck but sits well. (I presume you have folded the first pattern in all the way up the fronts). Sorry I can’t think of any other way to describe it. Good luck hope it turns out alright in the end. Regards LynW

Hi Cathy, I knitted this cardigan about two years ago from a Debbie Bliss Rialto Pattern CMDK06. I think I found the pattern in the free patterns. I used Paintbox Double Knitting cotton yarn. Hope that helps, good luck finding it.
