    About

The pattern for these shorts had instructions for knitting in 2ply, 3ply and 4ply, all yarns that I don't have, so I thought I'd try the smallest 4ply pattern in DK and appropriate sized needles for DK. The pattern in 4ply was for a preemie, but knitting it in DK has created a 0-3months size. I'm really pleased with my experiment. I used a multi coloured yarn and it's knitted looking like stripes. They're really cute little shorts, knitted up in a day, so I may knit some more. Although this is an easy pattern to follow, I'd categorise it as Intermediate only because it does not give you row by row instructions when working the shaping, you have to follow on the sequence and observe & count the stitches to finish the shaping correctly.
