    About

Another Xmas pressie......had enough AURA yarn to make a cowl but not enough to add mitts so I added rev. stocking stitch "ridges" in Stylecraft special chunky Pistachio as a contrast. Enough yarn now to finish simple project and add I-cord And POM POMS !! The simple stitch shows off the random colourway of Aura....I worked the mitts as 2 items on the straight needles at the same time so that I could match them from both ends of the ball.

    Needles & Hooks

    • Single Point 6.50mm (US 10.5) 25cm
    • Circular 6.50mm (US 10.5) 60cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
Other : medium pom pom maker

    Measurements

Notes: Made mitts first to fit 7" circ. hand using rev.st.stitch ridges in contrast. Worked flat and seamed.
Very simple stocking stitch in main areas of cowl & mitts
Cowl worked "in the round " to fit 25" around and worked till nearly all Aura used, finished in reverse stocking stitch ridges in contrast to 12" Deep. Using contrast made 2 pompoms on an 8" I-cord to decorate/fasten.
