    About

I loved creating these boat coasters. They were quick and easy to knit and are now ready to use for Summer BBQs and picnics.

I used double knitting which is a knitting technique that allows you to produce a reversible, two-layer, double thick fabric, with stockinette stitch showing on BOTH sides. The colour patterning is reversed on the opposite side. When working these coasters, you will first knit a stitch from the side of the fabric facing you and then you will purl a matching stitch from the opposite side of the fabric.

Thank you for your kind comment. It is not too difficult to knit and grows very quickly. The challenging part was designing the chart.

I had not done it before, but really enjoyed knitting a different technique. The chart is interesting to design!
