I loved all the bright and colourful garments in the 'Shepherd Moda Issue 6" Knitting Book, the use of colours was just exciting! I bought the book and then when I was near a knitting shop at my mother's, where I knew the owner was a great knitter herself and had a good eye for colour combinations, I bought some beautiful DK cotton yarn to knit this sweater. I then packed it all into my suitcase and knitted it over a two month European holiday! Did you know you can knit on long plane journeys if you take bamboo needles! It certainly helps to fill some of the time. It is a very simple pattern with the clever use of colours and garter stitch making it so attractive.
