      need help on the collar....pattern says to cast on 2 groups of 16 stitches...-what about the stitches that are placed on holders?

        It was confusing to me at first. But I cast on the first 16 sts and transfered the sts from the first sts holder. Cast on the other 16 sts and transfered the other sts from the other sts holder. So I then had all sts on the circular needle. Then I continued the pattern . I hope that this helps you. I PO deed over this for the better part of 2hrs and then it came to me. Good luck
