    About

    It was the yarn used in the picture in this pattern that drew me to wanting to make it. With the bright colours that changed over the course of the length of the scarf I thought this was a perfect pattern to make and wear with a black dress for work to add a splash of colour. The only thing that put me off was the cost of the yarn, but no problem there when at the knit and stitch show at ally pally in October I found the yarn in the bargain bucket at 50% off. Sold! This pattern also gave me an opportunity to learn a new stitch - smock stitch - which looks pretty cool and isn't all that hard as long as you concentrate.

    Other : This pattern has a provisional cast on so some spare thread is needed for this.

    Measurements

    Notes: I put one extra repeat in the pattern to end with a colour that I wanted to. It hasn't made a huge difference to the overall length
