    About

    I've never attempted anything big, so, this is my first large knit. Took a while to finish, as I've put it aside to work on other projects. It was suppose to be a 2-pc poncho but apparently looks much better with sleeves & fringes, don't you think?

    * Update *

    After getting requests for this pattern, I've finally compiled a proper pattern for it - one given exclusively to fellow knitters on PashKnit’s mailing list as a thank you treat for being such sweethearts.

    I’ve re-worked some portions, took off the buttons (quite like the naturally curled front), added better detailing called the Caterpillars instead of the random ones I was experimenting with.

    I’ve also knitted some test swatches to make sure any new additions are synchronised well with the already finished item. Fingers crossed, those who received the pattern will like it.

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 3.50mm (US 4)
    • Circular 7.50mm 120cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    Other : * It is worked back & forth as you would with a pair of straight needles but you'd need circular needles' cord to hold the many stitches.

    * The crochet hook is only used to add the fringes in so the size wouldn't matter much so long as you're able to sl

      Thank you so much for the pattern, I've got two projects lined up but I'm going to order the wool to start the Carcho at the end of summer in UK. I'll post pictures when its done :o)

        I didn't use a pattern, Susan. I just went along with trials, errors, unravelling & re-knitting (which was a lesson learnt for I had to make several trips to the store to get more yarn). The construction, fringes & the sleeves are actually afterthoughts.

        I could however, make the time to clean up the notes if you wish.

        @Na.Y: if you could, that would be wonderful, please. I'm not very good yet at making up patterns! Any guidance to create something as lovely as your poncho would be very much appreciated. Thanks :o)

        @Susan E: Hello Susan. I'll be compiling the pattern for this poncho over the weekend. Hopefully am able to finish & send it out by next week.

        I couldn't find any contact of yours on your profile so if you don't mind, could you pass me your email address. It might be best (privacy reasons) to do so on my website unless you're alright with having your email publicly displayed here. Either way works for me :)
