    About

I developed a permanent balance problem in 2008 which makes looking down difficult. I had studied Fashion and Design decades ago and always made my own clothes up until then and didn't think I would be able to cope with knitting. However, a couple of months ago I decided to give it a try, not being able to find anything I liked in the shops. The pattern for this jumper is so simple, just a stocking stitch with one row out of every four creating the pattern. So simple, with no cable needle involved. The jumper should have taken me 11 balls but I had only bought 10 (before finding a pattern I liked) and so the collar is knit shorter (it should have been 10in in depth) than on the pattern. Even so, it works. The alpaca is beautifully soft even though the jumper is quite heavy. I love it so much, I've ordered two more colours in the same yarn.

    Measurements

    To Fit Bust: 95cm

Notes: I was running out of yarn, having only bought 10 balls, and so I modified the cowl collar by knitting it less than the 10in stated on the pattern. It worked out well.
