    I chose to knit my Classic Pixie Beanie in Rowan's handknit cotton so you can see this baby hat in this cotton yarn. This yarn recommends 4mm-4.5mm needles. I have knitted this hat on 4mm needles, and it is beautifully soft and cosy with great stitch definition. This cotton has a lovely matt finish. So if you want a soft cosy hat for the winter and prefer cotton to wool, a beanie in this yarn would keep your little ones warm.

      This pattern has separate instructions for both in the round and straight on a pair of single pointed needles. Sizes newborn through to 5 years. If you click on the pattern you will get more info. Hope this helps.
