    About

2,303 people on ravely.com have made this sweater, and I fell in love with it for my first adult sweater. The silk-cotton blend of Stylecraft Malabar Aran has been discontinued, so the stripes in the pattern were perfect for my limited purchase of the yarn colorways, originally intended for dishcloths or towels. It has a silky feel and is quite soft. I imitated two Ravelers’ alterations of the pattern 1. Cloverflowers’ “7.50 in Anchorage” and 2. Cleyortrevor’s “Time to use up some yarn.” I really like the three-color design they used.
After I finished the sweater, it was too long for me, so I ripped out eight inches and redid the ribbing.

Notes: After steam blocking, the bust is 38", the raglan sleeves are 12" from neck. The neck opening was 24 inches and too stretchy. I tightened it with a crochet chain stitch of every other stitch just inside (invisible). The sweater length from neck to bottom of ribbing is 20".
