I liked the way the lace pattern gave this simply shaped garment a rather nice waistline. The yarn is one of the stringier cottons with a bit of a sheen. Individual stitch definition is very clear, which makes increases and decreases down the centre of this garment look rather like mistakes. However the finished garment hangs nicely and fits well. This is not a relaxing knit. The lace pattern is 104 rows long and requires a lot of counting. Every knit row is different, so it’s not a pattern that you can memorise quickly.
