Crocheted blanket

I made this for Fun/practise - and now that I'm happy with it, I'll be giving it to my great niece.

    I started with 15 chain..................It's about 2 feet square at the moment! (1/6/2019) ...........It has got too wonky, so I have started again (7/7/2019) and it is 12 x 3 inches..........the new version started with 30 chain, done in the 'chainless foundation' method. Today (18/7/2019) it is 17 x 9 inches............AND it's gone wonky again. I'm abandoning it for the time being and returning to some of my other KNITTING projects. Ripped it (almost) all out and am re-doing it with a slightly different stitch. Will look much the same, but is slightly looser. Will probably go a bit wonky again, but I think that'll be down to my wonky hand and it's inconsistent tension. I'm not worrying about it this time.
    Currently 24 x 30 inches
