I started knitting about 5 years ago. At first it was as a way to do something with my hands – as I had recently stopped smoking. I am self-taught mostly by watching YouTube videos. I was and still am quite surprised at how much there is to learn – and how lucky for me that there is always someone willing to show me how to do something via YouTube. My goal was to learn how to do Entrelac knitting, and how to knit socks and gloves. Well here is my finished Entrelac scarf and my second pair of gloves –first set gave as a Christmas gift before I could take a picture…and done loads of socks. There is nothing that I would rather be doing than knitting - it is my salvation, it always envelopes me in a sea of calm. And I should add, that although I love knitting for others, 2017 is all for me...and maybe my hubby and daughter and son...and of course my granddaughter..."_
