    About

I liked the idea of a seamless cardigan, and this was a good, clear pattern. When I've tried seamless in the past, I've had trouble around the underarm, with a lot of strain on this bit. Also, I find that I have vertical lines in the sleeves where I've moved from one dpn to the next. So this time I experimented with knitting down as far as the body/sleeve split, knitted the sleeves first, but not in the round (and this was the only seam that needed sewing, so not too bad). It was still a bit fiddly as you need to cast on a few stitches under the arm, so had to do this before knitting the sleeves - but I'm happy with the way it worked out. I haven't tried the magic loop technique for the sleeves (and needed to Google it to find out what it was) - that will be my next venture.

So pleased with the yellow version (and Rico baby cotton soft is a lovely soft yarn), that I've repeated with a short-sleeved version in pink, and another alternative using stripes instead of eyelet rounds.
