One of the most frustrating things about making toys from scratch is when they don’t turn out how you thought they would. Felipe is my second attempt at a flamingo because the first one was just awful. It was pink but that was about the extent of its flamingoeyness! I was therefore immensely relieved when Felipe came out even better than I’d planned.
Skills-wise, I’d say that Felipe is within the capabilities of most knitters as he’s made using just knit, purl, increase and decrease stitches. There is quite a bit of sewing but nothing too terrifying or intricate! There’s also scope to play around with the colours - yellow legs and beak, perhaps?
