      Did they work out exactly the same by you working out the pattern in the wool? They are lovely

        Hi Michele and thank you! I always start each sock off in exactly the same place of the pattern repeat; the yarn is dyed by computer and is therefore very accurately repeated. If you knit to exactly the same tension and start at the same point of the repeat then both socks will be exactly the same - it's like magic!

        Go for it, Sally, they're a lovely thing to make and people love them as presents! A great time filler, too, as each needle holds 16 sts, so it's very quick to reach the end of the 'row'. Only warning is: they're very addictive, you won't get much else done!!

      Gorgeous socks. When I see such beautifully knitted items I really, really wish I'd paid more attention to my wonderful grandmother when she was teaching me to knit and crochet. Crochet won.
