    About

I adapted the Flock of Sheep handbag pattern to make a walker bag. It attaches to the handles of the walker and can be used to carry an electronic tablet and other items between rooms.
For added strength, I lined the bag and straps with cotton/polyester cloth, which I seamed on the sewing machine and then hand-sewed to the knitted bag.

I adapted the flock of sheep bag pattern to make a walker bag instead of a regular handbag. I made the top shorter on one side and made the top on the other side longer, tapering it to make a trapezoid that could be folded over, as you see in the picture. I also did cast-offs and rejoins to make the big buttonholes for the two buttons. Because it was so stretchy, I lined the whole bag, including the straps, with a pink patterned cotton/polyester fabric that I sewed on my sewing machine. I am used to adapting patterns. Unfortunately, since it was a one-off, I did not take good notes on what I did. I think you can adapt any pocket book pattern to make a walker bag. The straps have to be made in 2 pieces instead of one continuous piece because you need to be able to have each side go around the rails of the walker. The author of the Flock of Sheep pattern has several variations available - you might contact them to see if they could do a walker version.
