    About

This elegant red fox is the mirror image of a pair of the species that lives on my property in northern Alberta. She is a beautiful animal and I had to add her to the series of native Canadian animals in this series.
Frisky is knit flat in one piece from the nose to the derriere. The white and red are worked using intarsia and two balls of white ( and one of red) so there is no carrying the yarn on the backside of your work. The legs, tail and ears are added after the body.head is assembled.
This is a longer pattern and a bit more complicated than some of the others in this series but definitely a joy to do. And, she is such a beautiful specimen that she does not need any bangles and adornments to draw attention to herself. Definitely my favourite in the series.

This is one fine fox. I have twin grands and to spare you a long story, the boy relates to foxes and the girl to bears. He would love this.
