    I found this free pattern on Raverly which looked really lovely in garter stitch. The pattern photos were in the smaller sizes and I saw that lots of others had knitted this pattern but I am not really sure how it will go in Size 4 now that it is finished. I hope it doesn't stretch out of shape! I changed the back button slightly by not having a button flap underneath and making a button loop on the edge to avoid it feeling and looking bulky. I also used a stretch bind off on the neck, [k2tog one], in the hope that Aidan would not need to bother using the button. I am not sure if I would use this yarn again, it caught easily on fingernails etc when knitting. However it was a good project as I learnt [via you tube] how to do three needle bind off which was very effective on the shoulders/top of sleeves, and it was another chance to practise sewing up garter stitch seams with the under and over loops method which works so well.
