    About

My daughter had a friend who was connected to this particular school and she was going out to the school with much needed help after the earthquake was followed by a monsoon. I knitted these for the children and also crocheted two blankets for them to take out. The toys were all knitted in double knitting wool from my stash, except the owls which were knitted in aran wool. I used mainly Hayfield Bonus and Stylecraft Special DK. Any mix of colours is good, the brighter the better!

How gorgeous are these and I can just imagine the children's faces when they see them. What a lovely thing to do.

I did receive a photo of a little boy with his teddy and a note to say how much he loved it. I was happy to do something for the children as the families had lost everything they had.
