Well, a girl can never have too many bags, can she? I had 2 balls of mango and 2 of pistache left over from another project so originally this bag was going to be striped, however the herringbone stitch I chose doesn't lend itself to stripes as you have to slip stitch every 2 stitches so the colour carries up to the next row. So I frogged to the original colour and carried on with that. I'll use the pistache for the strap which will also be the sides and base. I like the stitch as it creates a firm fabric which should be ideal to support the weight of everything I put in the finished bag.
