    About

The design promised a seamless jumper and that's what you see in the picture. I had a bit of a struggle to get it started, two or three attempts and I have had to become proficient at the magic loop method. Hands up, it sat around beng ignored while I made other things, including the blanket in the photo.

Hi. On the men’s saddle sweater you made, can you tell me the point at which you measured the 22cm length of the armhole? Was it the middle of the saddle, or the spot on the front where the bottom of the saddle meets the front piece? Once I have made all my increases, I cont. ST stitch till length measures 22 cm, but pattern isn’t clear where measurement starts. Thanks!!

Hi. Love your sweater. I have gotten to the point in this pattern where the stitches are being knit in the round. As I look at those yarn overs in the past 6 or so rows, there still seems to be a gap or hole even though I twisted the stitches and worked through the back. Also, the pattern calls for more yarn overs for the next bunch of rows. However there is nothing said about twisting these YOs. Did you just knit normal YOs after joining the stitches? Any advice would be appreciated.

The knitted fabric will even out during wearing so don't worry about the gaps you can see and I would always knit TBL which should twist the stitches. don't twist as well because that will stop the yarn moving and evening out. Good Luck!

Hi, just wondering if you can advise me on this pattern? Newish knitter. Have (surprisingly ) got as far as shape neck without difficulty.
'Neck and sleeve shaping occur simultaneously' ...... I am lost form here on. Just can't get my head around it. Thanks.

I’ve had a look at the pattern and I remember struggling with this part, more than once! The schematic helped me a lot because it helps you to see where you are going. But my best advice is to go for it, follow the instructions stitch by stitch, use your highlighting tool to keep track and have a large gin to hand to steady your nerves!

Which wool did you use for this? Would you recommend it?

I restarted a couple of times to get the picking up round the shoulders neat but after that it was plain sailing. I have done a second one for my son. That went really well.
