After using a little of this skein of yarn (which I hand dyed myself at a fiber fair) to make a pair of fingerless mitts for myself, my daughter requested a pair of socks for herself with the remainder of the yarn. I decided to make these toe-up socks, so that I could use up every last yard of the yarn. (I think it was an Opal brand white yarn before it was dyed, but I'm not positive which one it was.)
