I made this for myself.

    About

I wanted another project and liked the free pattern. I enjoy a challenge, so complicated patterns suit me. I was fascinated by the pattern picture, especially when I read that it was made up of just 2 pieces - front and back - whilst it appears to be made from small squares.
It did take a while to understand the instructions, but it was fairly easy once I got going.
Now I have finished, I had enough wool to complete one more side, but plan to knit the back with a range of light to dark grey colours, which will compliment my settee.

Was this your first entrelac work? It looks amazing. I’m tempted to have a go!

        Hi Sally,

Yes it was. I fell in love with the pattern picture, love a challenge, so had a go.
I found it difficult to sort out the directions of each block, initially, but by the time I was on the 4th side, (of completing 2 cushions), it was easy.
As each block consists of a small number of stitches, it doesn't take long to complete.

        Have a go!

@Sheila B: I did try entrelac a while back - just a swatch so yes, may give this a go. As you say it is very effective and your colours are lovely.
