A couple years ago, I met Sadika at a professional conference in Las Vegas. She told me, I could stay with her and she would show me around her country.
Lebanon is only ninety miles long, directly south of Syria and north of Israel; Syria is in the midst of a civil war and Lebanon does not have diplomatic relations with Israel.
When I finished this blanket, I realized my dog trusted me for sixteen years, I can trust Sadika for twenty days and I booked a round trip ticket in June.
Crocheting this blanket was a meditative way to help me make this decision.
