Little bolero for Eva

I made this for Eva, to go with the little dress I recently knitted her.

    About

I love the bolero patterns by Suzie Sparkles and have been dying for an opportunity to knit one of them [or more!]. I had this beautiful 'Persian Green' cotton/acrylic yarn left over from Sarah's tunic top, and there was just enough to knit a bolero to go with the mint green dress I knitted for our beach neighbours little girl Eva. I enjoyed knitting this clever top down pattern. It was my second chance at using the 'magic loop' technique for the sleeves and a new way to cast off that worked brilliantly. I really love it and are about to cast on another one for my grand daughter! I went up one needle size to get the correct gauge. Now I must wait for Eva's family to come for their summer beach holiday [next door] after Christmas! In the meantime I am off to Hong Kong for Christmas with our two beautiful grand daughters, with their knitted tunics in my suitcase!
