Little girls summer cardigan

    About

    The cream cardigan was made with 100% natural cotton yarn I bought in New Zealand: Wendy Craft Cotton 10ply / Aran. The aqua cardigan was made from yarn I purchased from the love knitting website, as cotton yarn in Aran weight seems to only be available in very limited colours here in N.Z.
    I used this "Flat Slip Stitch Join" with a crotchet hook to join the shoulder seams and it worked brilliantly:

    After sending a question re the joining of the shoulders to the pattern fish website, the designer send me clearer photos via return email of where to make the joins and where / how much gap to leave for the neck.

    Accessories

    • Buttons
    Other : Coloured flower buttons to dress up the cream cardigan, and aqua spotted buttons that matched the yarn colour well, both bought from Spotlight in N.Z.

    Measurements

    Notes: My knitting gauge tends to be on the small side, so I made them in bigger sizes which is accomplished by the yarn you use and the size of the knitting needles.

      Thank you. It looks very lovely the way it fits and sits on the little girl in the pattern photo, so I hope they fit like that on my granddaughters too!
