    I have had this pattern from Patternfish and beautiful 4 ply Italian merino wool for several years waiting to be knitted! I finally decided to do it even though I do not have a little recipient for it yet! I initially bought the wool and pattern when our eldest son was waiting for the birth of their second child... which was another beautiful little girl! As I knitted I realised that I would not have enough yarn... fortunately I managed to find exactly the same shades at my nearest [one hour away] knitting shop in Tauranga, New Zealand. I changed the pattern slightly... instead of embroidering onto the stocking stitch bands at the bottom I knitted a similar pattern into the stocking stitch as I do not rate myself very good at embroidery!
