    About

I love the new yarn & colours of Batik Swirl and decided to use it instead of Splash for this moss stitch jacket. Using 2 cakes at once I was able to knit "matching" sleeves, fronts and pockets, 2 sleeves / fronts on the same needle at the same time. At least any mistakes matched ! I made the back last with the remaining yarn.....enough left to make a matching hat or mitts, can't decide which ..... ! As contrast I used a small amount of Stylecraft Special DK in Buttermilk ( 1835)
To keep the cakes neat & tidy I used one of my crocheted "yarn bowls" that I make for CR.UK ( see photos ) No more travelling yarn & I can park my needles & work safely !!!
Now, just the seams to do.
Nearly done.used some great little clips on the seams, made it a lot easier Also made adapted a basic beanie hat pattern to match, mitts next. there will be just enough of the yarn left.
Made a BIG pompom with contrast and one shade from main yarn for the hat.
All sewn up.mitts to finish & Buttons.

Alas, not enough hours in the day for me to knit all that I want :-(
House full of yarn, yearning to be used to create the next project ;-)
