Matching hug scarf for big sister

I made this for my granddaughter Hannah who will be five when winter comes

    My daughter-in-law, had a scarf like this when she was a child in Hong Kong. She suggested knitting one for the little girls but it took me quite a long time to find this pattern! I then found that the designer also had a beautiful pattern for garter stitch fingerless gloves which I have knitted to match. As the gloves had a contrast colour on the edges I decided to copy this idea for the scarf by casting on and off in the contrast and knitting a couple of rows in k2 p2 rib to match the gloves.
