The image on the front of the cushion is of Thor's Hammer (Mjolnir- pronounced "meyolneer"). I did a rough drawing from a design I got online and then transferred it on to an Excel spreadheet. The cushion was knitted using Rowan Tweed DK in the colour "Gunnerside" and the pattern then embroidered on afterwards with the duplicate stitch (you can search online for instructions on how to do that) using Rowan Tweed DK again in Buckden.
The cushion itself:
Cast on 80 stitches using 4mm needles. Work 4 rows in rib stitch. Then work 190 rows in st st (still using 4mm needles). Finish off with 6 rows in rib but on third row place 5 buttonholes evenly across using the yfwd K2 tog method for each buttonhole. Cast off tightly to try to get edges similar size to beginning edge.
If anyone would like a copy of the design, please contact me via the blog.

No, ther's no link as it's my own design; but I'm more than happy to send you a copy of the design if you wish. It's done on an Excel spreadsheet and easy to print out. I can also send you a copy of the cushion cover pattern that I use which is a very simple, straightforward pattern. The design is embroidered on after the cover is knitted using the very simple duplicate stitch. If you want me to send you the design, please let me have your email address. Cheers.
