    About

Used Debbie Bliss Rialto Luxury Sock wool for these multi coloured socks. Usually find having a pair of socks on the go, an easy and relaxing knit, not so this time
I found the wool difficult to work with compared to other sock yarns I have used. It easily splits, and the fibers in the yarn tend to knot together, making it hard to pick up any dropped stitches or rectify any mistakes. Having broken a couple of my beech sock needles, i treated myself to the Knit Pro Symphonie Needles. While smooth th knit with, the combination of this dark multi coloured yarn and the highly patterned needles made it difficult sometimes to see the stitches clearly. Personally prefers the feel of Bamboo or Beech needles. However pleased with the outcome and the finished socks are soft and cosy to wear and the colour vairients quite striking.

Jean, I just love the colours in this sock yarn. Whilst I have I have never made socks, I do love to use sock yarn for childrens jackets and scarves. Consequently I keep an eye out for bright sock yarns.

Yes Lyn I really like the colours and how they evolve as you knit them. Would look really striking in a little jacket or scarf. Have found so far washes well in machine wash on wool cycle, using wool wash licquid.
