Mystical lanterns blanket

I made this for a birthday present for my best friend

    About

The original pattern has wavy sides, I didn’t like them and made up side half pieces based on the end half pieces. I joined my shapes as I made them rather than make long strips to join together, which helped keep the colours random although I still have some similar ones close together. It’s surprisingly hard to keep the colours random. I like the simple edge but it is curling up a bit. Was quick and fun to make.

It’s really nice to make, but there are a lot of ends to sew in. Once you start it I think you will enjoy it.

Unless you hate sewng in ends! 😊

Thank you. I did think it was too many colours when I started but I think it worked out ok. :)
