Hi I love this shawl, just what I had been looking for, but i’ve Come to a halt, after the 7th row. I understand the chart in as much as you do the first bit to corner stitch from right to left and the next corner to left hand edge from left to right. I have tried comparing the chart to the info for the 7 rows but the row 1 says 1tr into 8th chain from hook so I just don’t know how to continue.
Also if I manage to get that sorted is it every following 5th row That I do the 4tr tog, plus the 37th row? Please can you advise as I so want to achieve making this. Thank you

Hi Wendy, my bottom corner ended up more like a diamond shape, but the beauty of shawl patterns is that you are able to 'fudge' it a bit. Hope you are making progress on your Night Breeze!

Yours looks lovely, I have just started this myself, but have ground to a halt as I can't read charts. I've always worked from written instructions, plus I'm left handed :-(

Oh that's such a shame. The chart is an extension of the written instructions, you finish and start each row the same way, and the corner is always the same too. For the most part the pattern is a combination of chain 2 spaces and double crochets, if you can perhaps ask a friend to help you get started you may be able to follow the chart. I can't offer any suggestions about left handed crocheting I'm afraid, but I have seen discussions on Facebook between other LH crocheters - perhaps you might find some help there?
