Hi Rebecca, I love this blanket and the way you have used the sheep motif from the hat for your squares. I've just knitted the baable hat and so like the sheep that I would like to have a go at a similar blanket. Can I ask you if you made this in aran weight wool, or double knitting?Also, have you put a backing onto the blanket at all. It looks as if you picked up stitches for the border and knitted it on - is that right? Sorry to ask so many questions but I think your finished result is so nice!
Hi Marian - glad you like it :) yes I used Aran/worsted wool to make it nice and cosy, and it has a fleece backing to hide all the colour work. I tried crocheting a border but it was too tight, so yes picked up stitches and knitted. Would love to see how yours turns out!
