    About

    This rat is to replace his lost car mascot.

    Regarding the benefits of knitting in general: in 2015 i returned to work after a 27 year hiatus (raising and home schooling our four children.) I was a bit apprehensive about the 60-90 minute commute to SF & then home again. But knitting on the bus/BART/Muni makes the commute enjoyable and something to look forward to.
    I have knit a few blankets for wedding gifts and baby gifts, scarves, and a couple of hats for the homeless.
    Ratty 2y is my most recent project for our son's birthday while he's out at sea. (i have no idea what he'll do with a rat at sea.....it's really meant for his car. ;)

    • Circular 3.50mm (US 4) 40cm

    Measurements

    Notes: Rather than knitting it flat as the pattern says, I modified to knit in the round. I also gave him a pointy nose to be more rodentesque. And I made his ears 50% larger than the pattern is written.
