For the last couple of years, I’ve been attempting to be more eco-concious. It has actually been more challenging than I than I expected, due to the higher cost of organic produce, the ever-increasing use of plastic packaging materials, and the availability of grass-fed meats. I do put as much as possible in the recycle bin, and I use only glass containers in the microwave. I don’t enjoy cooking, though, which adds to the challenge of reducing my use of prepackaged foods. But I can knit! So here is my ***Preservation*** collection ~ three shawls designed as a tribute to my efforts to go green ~ Hayfield, Restated, and Sustain.
***Restated***
This shawl design was requested by a lovely fellow knitter. I have ‘restated’ my Brazil shawl as a sideways-knit asymmetrical shape, featuring the same reversible knit/purl texture. Use any yarn weight from sport to bulky, with a fairly close-knit gauge.
