Scarves for Special Olympics WY

    About

    Colors change every year, and this year is Brown and Gold yarn colors. I have made scarves for SO-WY since 2012 when Red Heart was a sponsor. The 2013 year there were no scarves as they had so many from the previous year. I have to check Ravelry to see what the colors are for the new year as one gal there does the research on all the states who need scarves, headbands, etc. Every state is specific on what they want sent in and what colors.
    I was not able to make more than 4 from my own stash so I checked out love knitting for yarn and was able to get Lion Brand in gold and brown colors. These are the 2 scarves I have completed with Lion Brand yarns and I have more to do.

    Other : I use a stitch marker to see when I'm at 30" and use that spot to fold the piece and see how much farther I have to go.

      Top one is crochet lengthwise (double crochet), bottom one is knit in Garter stitch. Both are using 2 strands of Lion Brand Wool Ease (4) worsted weight yarn.
