    About

They just moved into a new home and had to buy a new couch. It is winter here and they needed a new rug.
The rug is a simple design of garter stitch with a border that is picked up and knitted together to get perfect squares, they then have another border picked up and knitted on all four sides, because the weight keeps it even you have no need to block it. Each square requires 3 x 50 gram balls. The tension is not an issue but to keep the squares even you must pick up the exactly the same number of stitches for each block, it is also important to knit the blocks and borders together ie do not sew together. This is the third rug I have made using this design, but I do vary the ply and the size of the squares.
