    About

When I discovered Judy’s Magic Cast On, my oh my, did I go bonkers over it!

No Seaming = Purely Knitting = JOY!

Immediately went to work on these soap sacks, experimenting with different patterns for each sack. It was rather fun learning the cast on method. Magic indeed!

    * The Garter Ridge pattern is now up on my website - blog.pashknit.com

I saw your work, Hazel. Congratulations! Looks really good for a first time too. If you want, I would be glad to clean up my notes on Lulu the Rattling Rabbit so you could practise the technique with. It would make a sweet something for Paddy when he visits next.

Success! Conquered the magic cast on and with your pattern finished my first soap sack. I cannot post it here so I'll have to put it up as a project; many thanks for sharing.

They're still a load of scribbles in my notebook, Hazel. Will tidy them up & let you know once I do. The cast on was quite fun to learn!

@Hazel H: Hello Hazel. I haven't had much time to do the rest but the Garter Ridge version is now downloadable from my website - blog.pashknit.com

My apologies for taking a while to do so. Have fun experimenting with the CO technique & let me know how yours turn out yea.

@Na.Y: yes, I kept at it and managed to download the pattern. I am currently trying to make heads or tails of Judys Magic Cast on. My first attempt was a disaster but I'm getting the hang of it. hopefully I can show you something in a couple of days.

@Hazel H: Haha! It is a tricky technique. Don't you worry. I had 3 spoilt attempts, the last being not too happy about the "holes" on the sides because I didn't tug enough, so don't forget to tug. Can't wait to see yours!
