        @Claire Fairall: Completely agree and the same applies for blusher, it's amazing how a little dot of colour on the cheeks brings the whole face to life.

        @Christine R: so true- I use wax crayon as blusher for my dolls- non toxic, and it stays on for a quite a while :)

        @Claire Fairall, Thanks I'll give the wax crayon a go, I've tried a coloured pencil but the application can 'felt' the yarn a bit, I'm using make-up blusher currently which works well but does wear off easily.

        @Christine R: the crayons work more easily if they are slightly warm. I store mine near a radiator in the winter☺
