    About

When I received the email regarding #StashAddict in my inbox, I thought… why not… no harm in joining the fun, yes? It certainly gave me the incentive to tidy up my “beautiful” mess.

It seems that my stash is nothing compared to those floor to ceiling collections I’ve seen (gosh, I sure envy your marvellous stashes)! I’ve yet to allocate a proper space in the house for my knitting bits & bobs, so, this trolley & the green house would have to do for the time being.

I suppose I’ve to abide to my new year’s resolution - resist the urge of purchasing new balls of yarn & use up the current ones. Well, until I come up with a much more permanent stash solution that is.

Hopefully the man (my husband) agrees to release a good piece of real estate in the house soon…

Awww... Thank you so much, Alison. You're making me blush! Hahaha... Although believe me you, it will be a pile of mess again soon.

This is so neat I'm embarrassed! My stash is so spread out and messy and yours is lovely to look at.

Thank you so much, Hazel, but it's something of a must. Hahaha...

I work from home mostly so this little slice of yarn haven is sharing my architectural studio's space. I could no longer see them squashed inside shopping bags while the rest of the area is neatly organised.

You could adopt the storage idea though. Make a quick trip to Ikea for those greenhouses & turn them into yarn houses. They make excellent stash storage!

@Na.Y: Good idea but I would have to build an extension or at least a shed to store the greenhouses. And then there's all the knitting magazines and accessories..... Oh I'll never be neat!

@Hazel H: I've only been knitting for a year as of last month so, give it another year. I will definitely be facing the same dilemma as yours. We shall ponder on the solution together then, yea? ;)

@Na.Y: that's an idea; your stash will be huge and mine will have taken over the house, joking, I hope.

That is such a lovely way to display your stash. Mine is all in plastic containers.

Thank you, Arjaye. Unfortunately space restriction prompted this & I probably don't have enough yarn to start a container brick wall just yet (I secretly wish so - imagine the lovely kaleidoscope of colours the yarns will create!). Haha!

P.S : I think containers make good storage too. Keeps the dust at bay, yea?
