    About

I wanted to design a one skein shawl inspired by the mammoth tusk found on the beach at West Mersea. After swatching and experimentation, I used little pleats to create the crescent shape.

    Pattern

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
      Mr. B Hiddlestone 4ply - Urban Decay 3 1 ball

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 3.00mm (US 2.5)
    • Single Point 4.00mm (US 6)

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
Other : The pattern provides written instructions and step-by-step photos for the pleated section. I used a 3mm dpn to help with the pleats, but this is optional. It is possible to make the pleats without a spare needle, and both methods are given.
